Connection/configuration of the LOWI dongle
Step 1: Connect to the WiFi network of the customer with which the LOWI will be connected
Go to the wifi network setting (preferably with a laptop or Ipad)
Go to 'advanced'
and search for the 'TCP/IP' settings
Copy this info (take a picture or write it down)
Connect the LoWi module in
P1 port of the digital counter
Or
To any power source via the optional USB interface wire.
The Lowi dongle just needs electricity, that's all.
The LED should remain solid blue
if not:
Reconnect in the P1 port and after the 1st blink, keep the push button pressed until the LED is solid blue
Step 3: Connect to the '2WIRE-LOWI' Wifi network
The screen below will appear...
Sometimes a password will be asked
adminLOWI is the password
Click on 'Configure WiFi'
Choose your home network and fill in your home network password
Copy the values you've kept from the wifi home network
but change the last number(s) (shown in green)
by filling in a free IP number
An easy way to look for free/open IP addresses is to download the Netwok Analyser app on IOS (Apple) of Android
This will show you all the used IP adresses in the Wifi Network
Just pick one that hasn't been used yet
Copy this IP address (this is the IP address of the LOWI in the Wifi network)
Step 4: We will now search for the LOWI IP adress
Go back to the customer Wifi network
and fill in the LOWI IP address in a browser fiels (Chrome, Edge,...)
A LOWI 'landing page' will appear
(see example IP address underneath in browser bar)
Click on te 'LOWI' button
This Saturn icon shows there is MQTT connectivity
Also check that all MQTT and Protocol parameters have been filled in accordingly (password is adminLOWI)
Look out!
Be sure that the LOWI dongle is not in solid blue anymore!!
plug it out and plug it in again (de blue light will again blink)
